The monotype, a mercurial fusion of printmaking and painting techniques, is particularly well suited to artist Bill Jacklin RA’s brilliant, evocative landscapes and waterscapes. This handsome new title, a sequel to the earlier Royal Academy publication, Bill Jacklin: Graphics, which Campbell co-authored with Jill Lloyd, reproduces a wide range of Jacklin’s exuberant monotypes. It includes an informative, reflective interview between the artist and Nancy Campbell, which took place at Jacklin’s studio in Rhode Island in 2023.
